Flower Therapy Workshop

Join us in the beautiful surrounds of Bermingham Farm for a FLOWER THERAPY workshop with florists Yvette Timmins and Georgie Stanton. Working with stunning fresh flowers, including some from Gorgi’s own garden, you’ll leave with a beautiful bouquet of seasonal flowers along with a renewed sense of self.

WHAT WE’LL BE DOING

A Flower Therapy workshop is the perfect blend of meditation, relaxation, creative pursuit and soul enrichment.  Using the power of nature, Yvette and Georgie will help you find self-acceptance, heal and change your thought patterns through the unseen beauty of the flower.

Once you are shown how to unlock the true essence of flowers you can expect to see your world through a different lens.  Yvette and Georgie have incorporated lived experience of mental illness and the therapeutic healing benefits of flowers in their lives and they’ve developed 10 core principal topics they teach, each one enacted through the action of creating a flower arrangement;

  • Acceptance
  • Forgiveness
  • Connection
  • Love
  • Gratitude
  • Vision
  • Alignment
  • Contribution
  • Courage
  • Purpose

This will be an afternoon of delight in the country.  Limited spots.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS

Yvette Timmins

Yvette Timmins learnt to heal herself with the power of flowers. Her own mental health challenges have led her to seek a self-fulfilling path to wellness.  It’s her mission to share this with others in the hope it might help them too.  Yvette is passionate about the need for greater opportunity to connect with nature and our creativity for the purpose of generating positive effects on our mental & emotional health.
Yvette knows we are all born with an innate sense of creativity and a need to connect with nature and the ongoing positive flow on effects that she has witnessed first-hand over her 30+ years working with flowers include, but are not limited to, a decrease in feelings of anxiety and depression.  It is for this reason Yvette has developed her range of flower therapy courses and her recently published book – Feed Your Soul with Flowers –  a guide to living in oneness with the universe.
ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS

Georgie Stanton

I’m absolutely obsessed with blooms and I have been incredibly lucky to have surrounded myself with them for the last 30 years.  I love sharing my passion and knowledge of flowers, it truly is therapeutic and medicinal and I liken it to open-eye meditation.

I’ve held workshops in classrooms, on flower farms, private homes and retail settings. I have been ever so lucky to have worked with some beautiful clients, doing lots of weddings and all types of celebrations and many corporate milestone events, including Ford Motor Company 75th anniversary, Shell Refinery 85th anniversary, Rip Curl 50th anniversary, Geelong Football Club and Geelong College 150th anniversary.

Also, some international sports people, television celebrities, including Catriona Rowntree, Sarah Grace and Gorgi Coghlan’s wedding.

I live and breathe blooms.  Their calmness, purity and uniqueness are what I most admire about every single stem and makes my job my obsession.

Looking forward to sharing with you,

Georgie x
